What: All workers' lobby day against ‘right to work’ (for less)
|
In this epic battle over right to work for less in Indiana we are now entering the 4th quarter and the score is knotted up.
Join us this Monday (Jan. 23rd) and all of next week as we continue the drive to save workers’ rights in Indiana. Monday will be a key day and we need stadium sized crowds at the Statehouse. Will you join us? Click here for details and to RSVP.
It’s as simple as this. The politicians--including House Speaker Bosma, Senate President Long and Gov. Daniels--didn't campaign on taking away workers' rights, lowering wages and growing the gap between the rich and the poor in Indiana. They didn't include "attacking the middle class" in their television ads or when they knocked on our doors. But that's exactly the game of extreme partisanship they are playing at the Indiana Statehouse.
Brothers and sisters, it’s time to go on offense.
Join us at the Indiana Statehouse Monday at 9:00 a.m. (*tentative time) We expect critical floor votes in the State Senate and House on RTW on Monday. It is important that members turn out every day to the Statehouse next week, but turning out Monday needs to be a priority. Be there.
This Monday, Jan. 23rd, we’re speaking out. Click to get details and RSVP.

The so-called "right to work" bill that anti-worker politicians are trying to ram through the Indiana General Assembly is all about politics, not economics. It is a direct attack on the collective bargaining rights of working Hoosiers—and to make things worse, backers are bending or breaking all the rules. They are refusing to allow public testimony, spreading lies and misinformation in television ads—they even tried shutting the doors of the statehouse.
Make your voice heard—and please bring your friends and family. Union members, nonunion workers, retirees, students and everyone who stands for workers’ rights and fundamental fairness should come.
Join us Monday and add your voice to the thousands who have been at the statehouse, calling for their elected officials to restore balance and work for good jobs, not attack workers.
In Solidarity,
The Indiana AFL-CIO
